— a family cookbook —

The recipes
she wrote down
for us.

Every recipe in her handwriting. Every card butter-stained. Every instruction ending with "or however you like it, honey."

pssst — the pie one is on page 14.
for the people who still call long-distance on Sundays.

This book is every recipe Grandma ever wrote down, every smudged card, every coffee-ringed margin note. Typed up with the original handwriting scanned beside each one, so you can still see how she crossed her 7s.

We made it for us. We're giving it to you too.

Three recipes
she was famous for.

Out of 247 cards. These are the ones that made it to every potluck, every Christmas, every funeral.

the long story

She learned it from her grandma. We're learning it from her.

Grandma cooked for a living most of her life, and for love the rest of it. Sunday dinners that ran from one till sundown. Banana bread on the counter when you got home from school. The jar of biscotti she never once let get empty.

After she passed, we found the recipes in a tin on top of the fridge — in the same place she'd kept them for 60 years. This site is for everyone who ate at her table, and everyone who wished they had.

one last thing

Cook with butter.
Salt like you mean it.
Feed the people you love.

That's the whole book, honestly.
The rest is just instructions.
